S.H.E. (She Heals Everything)
We have a very exciting announcement! Starting on July 19th, we will provide teen girl centered services at our Teen HUB located at 730-732 West Moyamensing Avenue, Philadelphia, PA, 19148 (our South Philly drop-in center). Teen girls will have access to basic need items such as free toiletries, food, life skills workshops, health education, sex and breast health, yoga & meditation sessions, crisis & case management, health screenings & referrals, individual & group counseling/coaching, life coaching, referrals to our partners, and others!
Also, we will be having a girls night every 4th Friday of the month starting on July 23rd from 6pm-8pm with our teen girls at the Teen HUB located at 730-732 West Moyamensing Avenue, Philadelphia, PA, 19148. The new hours for our center operations are Monday, Tuesday, Thursday (1st and 3rd week of the month only), and Saturday 12pm-2pm. Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday we are closed.
We will provide an update as to when Meditation Moments will begin again. TBD
We need donations!
We had the opportunity to decorate and establish a clothing and toiletries closet at a local West Philadelphia high school. Here, we will provide toiletries, books, journals, snacks, counseling, moral support, and a safe space for teen girls to gather. As many of you know, times are tough for teens with remote school. Teens are connecting more and more over social media platforms and are at increased risk for contact with predators/traffickers, which is very dangerous and could be life threatening. To prevent this, we need to take care of what the girls need and eliminate vulnerabilities the traffickers target. It is our goal to have these closets for teen girls at local schools, but we need your help! Please see our wish list or donate.
